Do Mexican soap operas nourish racism & racist stereotypes?

While looking at Mexican soap operas I wonder about that countries racism,especially considering the popular standard of beauty in Mexico is light skin & racial European facial feautures.The leading important roles are usually portrayed by White Mexicans of pure European ancestry(Spain,France,Italy,Germany,etc) and the menial roles of maid,gardeners,thieves,prostitutes,child molesters,drug dealers are done by the brown skinned Mestizo Mexicans and Mexicans of pure American Indian ancestry.If Mestizos & American Indians were a minority population that would then be one thing,but White Mexicans the MINORITY since they are only 9% of the population of Mexico!
