My 4 mth puppy is not eating much.?

earlier he use to whenever he gets it but now he is not showing any interest in his food. he just sniffs it goes away.Last night i gave him his food and its still there. i was out for 1 week and gave my puppy to my neighbours. what can i do to feed him. he is terrier maltese mix and very active n happy as well
