How to I plant in this pot that has holes on the side that you often see cactus's in?

They are excellent for growing a small herb garden. And frankly, I've always called mine herb planters. Fill them with potting soil, then put the seeds or seedlings into the holes and place in the appropriate light, depending on what you plant in them. They are also good for growing strawberries.
