I got a new saddle, and can't get stirrup leathers in hooks?

Don't use a broom, but try having someone lift the bar with a hoof-pick. That's what I always do. Someone pushes the bar up, and then you can slide the end of the stirrup leather under the bar, then pull it around and adjust the length. It's pretty simple....
