Does instant Potatoes Au Gratin go bad?

I know instant potatoes are safe for a couple months but this has cheese in it although the cheese is in a separate packet. It contains both Cheddar and Ricotta but it is DRIED don't know if that makes a difference though. Also contains DRIED Onions and Garlic. Anyways the most important part is that it says: BETTER IF USED BY 29 APRIL 2010, so yeah its been a while but I'm broke and there's is nothing but chicken stock in my house and I finished off some year old Total Cereal yesterday and feel fine so its got me feeling a little confident. Anyways was maybe thinking of eating the potatoes and tossing the cheese/salt/onion/garlic mix any help would be appreciated thanks!
