Obedience Lessons for a german shepard mutt?

I have an german shepard mutt (mother was german shepard) who is 1 1/2 years old. i live in China Grove NC and would like to hae him take dog obedince lessons. I want to be abe to trust him when he's not on a leash. Where could I take him for lessons that aren't incredibly expensive & will still do the job
