Warning for yasmin/yaz/ocella?

My fiance and I were TTC since Jan but decided I need to drop some pounds before we get pregnant (that may have been part of the reason why it wasn't happening, and plus i don't want to jeopardize the health of our future child). We don't use condoms because, honestly we both just dislike them and I get a bad reaction to latex, I have a prescription for Yasmin but I am starting to see these warning commercials on TV and its worrying me, I know those tend to be for the people who are over 35 and smokers, but should I worry? What birth control have you been on and did you like it? I like Yasmin because I never had side effects from it, it kept my skin awesome-ly clear and I never gained weight, but those warnings just scare me a bit, lol.
